The aim of this course is to introduce participants to both the physical equipment involvedin well integrity but also to the management of well integrity that ensures that wells aresafe and that it is known that they are safe.

• The concept of barriers will be introduced as will a process safety framework within whichwell integrity resides.
• Safe operating envelopes will also be introduced prior to describing a typical well integritymanagement system (WIMS)
