Preparation & Certification Drilling Well Control
Course Objectives
To be able to:
• Show the principles and procedures used in well control operations with surface BOP stack as described in the IWCF Rotary Well Control Surface BOP Stack Certification Syllabus.
• Use the equipment for well control operations with surface BOP stack as described in the IWCF Rotary Well Control Surface & Subsea BOP Stack Certification Syllabus.
• Show that a well control situation can be mastered by use of simulator according to IWCF standards.
• Obtain sufficient knowledge about the course content to pass three tests with minimum 70% score.

Who Should Attend
Level 3 IWCF Rotary Drilling
Driller Well Control Training is recommended for drillers, assistant drillers and equivalent personnel who are expected to shut-in a well in well servicing or intervention operations.
Level 4 IWCF Rotary Drilling
Supervisor Well Control Training is recommended for well-site supervisory and office-based personnel primary involved in well design, operational decision-making process and equivalent personnel expected to shut-in a well in well servicing or intervention operations.

Course Delivery
The 5-day course is delivered through presentation of a series of interactive lectures supported by videos and animations, group discussion, and drilling simulation exercises, supplemented by a classroom workbook and further self-study exercises.
Level 4 training is combined with Level 3 training for common modules and during simulatorbased training with each candidate assuming their respective role as per normal drilling operations.
