Initiation to welding metallurgy (Level 1)
Objectives
To discover and understand the metallurgical origin of the properties of non and low alloyed steels in order to better apply and enforce the operating procedures and welding instructions
By the end of the training, you will be able to:
- To understand what characterizes a steel from a metallurgical point of view
- To understand how mechanical characteristics are obtained and how welding can affect them
- To know the factors causing cold cracking of non or low alloyed steels
- To identify the parameters of the welding procedure to be controlled in order to limit the degradation of the mechanical characteristics and to avoid cracking of the steels.
Public
- New engineer and technicians in mechanics, materials and industrial maintenance
- Technicians wishing to convert to the field of welding
- Welding construction site manager,
- Team leaders and counter masters in welding who want to learn about welding metallurgy and understand the justification of impositions of DMOS, QMOS and operating specifications in general.
